Another irreplaceable figure in Film History disappeared yesterday. Erland Josephson was one of the most prominent names in European cinema, be it from his work with Andrei Tarkovsky or Ingmar Bergman, with whom he created more than forty films and plays, including some of the most celebrated masterpieces of the Swedish master, including Cries and Whispers, Fanny and Alexander and his latest opus, Saraband. He was 88 years-old.
